Banbury's Zero-Barrier Community Pantry. No forms, no referrals, just community support.

How JDE is Helping the Breadline Project Grow Since 2021, the Breadline Project has operated with a simple belief: food is a basic human right. We are proud to be Banbury’s zero-barrier pantry, where there are no membership fees, no paperwork, and no questions asked. But staying "zero-barrier" requires incredible support.

This month, we are celebrating a massive boost from our local partners at JDE (Jacobs Douwe Egberts), whose team has stepped up to help us serve our neighbors better. A Welcome Expansion Thanks to an incredible £3,000 monetary donation from JDE, we are moving forward with the expansion of our "welcome space". This structural upgrade will make our pantry at 4 Cherry Road more inviting and supportive for the 400+ families we assist every month. More Fresh Food, Less Waste Storage is one of our biggest challenges. JDE has generously donated two essential freezers, which allow us to rescue even more fresh surplus produce and meat from going to waste. This means more variety for our visitors and a bigger impact on reducing local food waste. Neighbors Helping Neighbors Beyond financial support, the JDE team has been getting stuck in! Their staff have joined us as volunteers, working alongside our team to organize stock and help members during our sessions
